“سامز” تفتتفح مركز طبي متعدد التخصصات في مخيم الزعتري لتلبية احتياجات الرعاية الصحية

يتوقع أن يقدم المركز الطبي الجديد الذي أفتتحته الجمعية الطبية السورية الأمريكية “سامز” في مخيم الزعتري في 15 تشرين الثاني 2017 خدماته لحوالي 350 مريضا يوميا، أي ما يعادل 7700 خدمة في الشهر، وذلك بمجالات الرعاية الصحية والطبية التي تشمل أمراض القلب، الأعصاب، الأطفال، النساء، طب الأسنان، وجراحة العظام، فضلا عن الخدمات المتعلقة بالرعاية الصحية الوقائية.
و سيقدم المركز الطبي متعدد التخصصات خدماته الطبية لتلبية إحتياجات الرعاية الصحية الواسعة والملحّة للاجئين الذين يبلع عددهم 80 ألف لاجئ مقيمين في مخيم الزعتري، وهو أكبر مخيم للاجئين السوريين على مستوى العالم أجمع، حيث يعاني عدد كبير من اللاجئين من الأمراض المعدية والسارية، عدا عن الصدمات النفسية التي لم يتم علاجها بسبب نقص الخدمات الطبية الثابتة والمخصصة لمجالات محددة من الرعاية الصحية. وتعد الجمعية الطبية السورية الأمريكية اليوم واحدة من أكثر المنظمات غير الحكومية الدولية نشاطا وأعلاها موثوقية داخل الأراضي السورية، إذ كانت في مقدمة المنظمات التي تساهم في توفير الخدمات الإغاثية في سوريا والدول المجاورة منذ إندلاع الأزمة السورية عام 2011. وقد بدأت الجمعية تقديم خدماتها الطبية في مخيم الزعتري منذ أكثر من ثلاثة أعوام.
وقال وزير الصحة الأردني، سعادة الأستاذ الدكتور محمود الشيّاب: ننظر باهتمام بالغ إلى إفتتاح مركز الجمعية الطبية السورية الأمريكية في مخيم الزعتري وتجهيزها لتقديم خدمات الرعاية الصحية الأولية والخدمات الطبية التخصصية بما فيها خدمات الأشعة التشخيصية والمختبر والرعاية السينية وتزويد المركز بالأدوية اللازمة وصرفها للمرضى مجانا. من جهته قال مدير المؤسسة الخيرية في سامز امجد راس: أن الجمعية الطبية السورية الأميركية قدمت خدمات طبية في مخيم الزعتري منذ عام 2014 وشاركت مع المنظمات غير الحكومية لتقديم الرعاية بكافة أشكالها. لافتا إلى أن “سامز” قامت بتقديم 12 ألف خدمة شهريا للاجئين في مخيم الزعتري.
في العام الماضي، تم تقديم 95,637 خدمة طبية للاجئين في المخيم. وقال راس في حديثه لـ “الطريق”: الشيء الذي يميّز “سامز” عن غيرها تعدد الإختصاصات ونوعية العمل وإستمراريتها، لافتا أن الهدف الرئيسي من المشروع تزويد اللاجئين بالمخيم بجميع احتياجاتهم الطبية وكافة الإختصاصات للكبار والصغار، وقمنا بتوسيع الإختصاصات مثل القلبية والأدوات التشخيصية مثل صور الأشعة، ونعمل على متابعة الحالات الصعبة، إضافة إلى توفير الخدمات التي لا تتوافر في المراكز الأخرى. وأثنى مدير مخيم الزعتري العقيد ذوقان عبيدات على هذا المركز الطبي، وقال انه سيكون إضافة نوعية إلى جانب المستشفيات والمراكز الطبية الأخرى العاملة داخل المخيم، مؤكدا أن هذا المركز من شأنه أن يمثل دعما لجميع الجهات العاملة والتي تأثرت جراء الأزمة السورية.
وأكد رئيس جمعية سامز الدكتور أحمد الطرقجي أنه تم تصميم المركز الطبي الجديد خصيصا لتلبية الحاجة المتزايدة لتوفير خدمات رعاية صحية ثابته ومستمرة للاجئين، خاصة بعد إغلاق مجموعة من المرافق الصحية في المخيم مؤخرا. و قال الطرقجي أن “سامز” سوف تستمر بتنظيم الحملات الطبية للأردن كل 3 اشهر، و تعيين متطوعين من عدة بلدان مختلفة للعمل في المركزالطبي . حيث قدم متطوعي “سامز” في المركز الطبي في الفترة ما بين 18-23 تشرين الثاني 2017 الرعاية الأولية و المتخصصة لسكان المخيم خلال الحملة الطبية الرابعة للمنظمة في الاردن لهذا العام. خلال 2017 تم تنفيذ 35 حملة طبية ل “سامز” في الأردن ولبنان وتركيا وبنغلادش. إضافة إلى 5 حملات أخرى مخطط لها حتى نهاية العام الحالي.
لافتا إلى وجود 100 مركز في الداخل السوري يتم إدارتها من قبل 2000 شخص من كوادرهم. وأكد الطرقجي لـ “الطريق” أن الهدف من المركز تقديم أفضل الخدمات الطبية والرعاية الصحية، لافتا أن المخيم يوجد فيه عدة مراكز طبية تعاونا معهم لتوفير الخدمات غير مغطاة بشكل كامل.
وأوضح: أن “سامز” ملتزمة بتلبية إحتياجات اللاجئين الطبية بشكل متواصل ومكثف، لافتا أنهم يسعون في المستقبل لإيجاد مخصصات من أجل العمليات الجراحية على المدى البعيد لكن هذا يتطلب الحالة والإصرار، وأن تتوفر البيئة المناسبة للعمليات الجراحية إضافة إلى المعدات والكوادر الجراحية، لكن في بعض المراكز داخل سوريا تتوفر العمليات الجراحية المتوسطة مثل حالات البتر، والزايدة.
SAMS Opens Multi-Specialty Medical Center in Za’atari Camp to Address Health Care Needs

The new multi-specialty medical center, which was inaugurated by the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) at Za’atari Camp on November 15, 2017, is expected to provide 7,700 medical services per month, treating up to 350 patients on a daily basis, in various areas of specialty care, including cardiology, neurology, pediatrics, gynecology, dental, and orthopedics, as well as those pertaining to primary and preventative care.
The SAMS Multi-Specialty Medical Center will address the vast and urgent health care needs of 80,000 refugees presently residing in Za’atari Camp, the world’s largest Syrian refugee camp. Many refugees in the camp suffer from chronic and communicable illnesses and emotional trauma that have gone untreated due to a lack of consistent, specialized medical services.
Currently SAMS is considered one of the most active and trusted international NGOs on the ground in Syria, and has been at the front lines of crisis relief in Syria and neighboring countries since the Syrian conflict erupted in 2011. The organization has provided medical services in Za’atari for over three years.
Jordanian Minister of Health, His Excellency Professor. Mahmoud Al-Sheyyab said: “We have a great interest in the opening of the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) center in Za’atari camp, and to provide them with primary healthcare services and specialized medical services, including radiology, medical laboratory, and dental care services. Also, providing the necessary medicines to the center, and giving them to patients for free.”
SAMS Foundation Chairman, Dr. Amjad Rass, said that the Syrian American Medical Society has provided medical services in Za’atari since 2014, and worked with non-governmental organizations to provide care in all its forms. He emphasized that SAMS provided 12,000 services per month to the refugees in Za’atari camp. In the last year, 95,637 medical services were provided to refugees living in the camp. Dr. Amjad Rass said to “The Road”: “What distinguishes SAMS from others is its multi-specialty, ongoing and high-quality healthcare. Emphasizing that the main goal of the project is to provide the refugees in the camp with all their health care needs in all specialties for adults and children. We have expanded the specialties such as cardiology and diagnostic tools like X-Rays. We are following up the difficult cases, in addition to providing services that are not available in other centers.”
The director of the Za’atari camp, Colonel Thogan Obeidat praised the medical center, and said that it would be a new addition along with hospitals and other medical centers operating inside the camp. He stressed that this center would represent support for all working parties that were affected by the Syrian crisis. SAMS President, Dr. Ahmad Tarakji, said: “The new medical center has been carefully designed to address the growing need for ongoing, quality medical care to refugees, following the recent closure of a number of health facilities in the camp.”
Dr. Ahmad Tarakji stated that SAMS will continue to organize medical missions to Jordan every three months, deploying volunteers from different countries to work in the medical center. From November 18 – 23, 2017, SAMS volunteers at the medical center provided specialized and primary care to residents of the camp during the organization’s fourth medical mission to Jordan this year. Throughout 2017, 35 SAMS medical campaigns were implemented in Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey and Bangladesh, and five more campaigns are planned for this year.
Dr. Tarakji also pointed out that there are 100 centers inside Syria that are being managed by 2000 persons of their staff. He emphasized to “The Road” that the goal of the center is to provide the best medical services and health care, and that they cooperated with many medical centers in the camp in order to provide uncovered services. He explained that SAMS is committed to addressing refugee medical care needs continuously. He emphasized that they are seeking to find resources for surgical operations in the long term, but this requires determination, a suitable environment for the surgical operations, tools and surgical staff.
However, some surgeries such as amputations and appendicitis are available inside some centers in Syria.
